Ryan Pertile and Cindy Froid

We recently sat down for a cfg happy hour at the new Milly's Wine Bar, in the mill district, and asked ourselves the same question. here are their responses for our rapid fire q&a.

Sarah Maus, Cindy Froid, Allyson Batis and Ryan Pertile

Okay, are you two ready?

Cindy: Wait a minute. We didn’t know about this!

Ryan: We have been ambushed. I thought this was just a happy hour!

Cindy: Who planned this? (laughs)

your ideal summer day?

Cindy: Being at the cabin. Solo kayaking followed by lunch on the dock with my family. Dinner would definitely be grilling and enjoying the beautiful sunset.

Ryan: Golfing in the morning and an evening boat cruise with my family.

favorite part of your job?

Ryan: My favorite part is the relationships you get to build. Overtime you see these friendships grow, that is the most fun!

Cindy: So many! Everyday is different. There is no such thing as mundane. You are constantly learning. Things can change on a dime.

Ryan: Yes! I want to add one more thing. The problem solving. I love that.

what is at the top of your travel bucket list?

Cindy: Oh dear! Okay. Here it is, fall of 2024 I will be hiking the Tour du Mont Blanc with a couple of friends. It will be a 110 mile hike through France, Switzerland and Italy. It’s official. I am putting it out there! This is an important hike because it officially marks the moment that I become an empty nester. That’s it. The Empty Nester Hike 2024.

Ryan: I want to go back to Italy with my wife Lisa. To really explore the country. We went to Italy for our honeymoon but didn’t do much exploring. So I would like to go back and travel the country, see it all with Lisa.

go-to roadtrip snack?

Ryan: Cheez-its. (laughs) That’s what the boys want, so that’s what we eat!

Cindy: Cowgirl Cookie from Honey and Rye. Every roadtrip up north I pick these up for the cabin and for some reason they disappear prior arrival…

why downtown?

Cindy: I believe American cities are the life blood of the country. If the big cities are thriving the surrounding cities thrive.

Ryan: Live, work and play. Lisa and I both spent our younger years living downtown and we loved it. So that’s what I think of, downtown has it all.

if you were a pro-athlete, what would your entrance song be?

Ryan: Usher, “Yeah!

Cindy: Woah. Wait. I don’t know! There are so many that I cannot choose!

Okay, final question. ready? what would be your goblin meal?

Cindy: A what!?? (laughs)

Goblin meal. what is your go-to snack/meal. what is it that is your thing that you can eat at any moment and it never let’s you down. your meal quirk.

Ryan: Oh, that’s easy. Ice cream. All day, anytime, anywhere. I will never turn down ice cream. I just had a bowl last night! Vanilla with sprinkles.

Cindy: Grilled cheese. But not your regular grilled cheese. It has to be with gruyere cheese. Oh and sour dough bread! Obviously from Honey and Rye, can you tell that I love them!
