“I have had the pleasure of knowing the crew at MSR for what seems like forever. They have been great referral partners and have always taken excellent care of my downtown clients. Working along side them at Four Seasons has been a special collaboration as well. I am so impressed with how the original partners (Tom Meyer, Jeff Scherer and Garth Rockcastle) have passed the baton to the second generation of leaders in the firm, the majority of which is now women owned and led.”

SNOW KREILICH ARCHITECTS

ABOUT SNOW KREILICH ARCHITECTS

Snow Kreilich Architects is a nationally recognized and award winning architectural studio based practice in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The studio was formerly Julie Snow Architects, founded in 1995 by Julie Snow. With each project led by design principals Julie Snow and Matt Kreilich, the studio focuses on producing architecture that performs against multiple measures of design success. This focus has resulted in consistent design recognition for projects that rely on a fresh and intensive design investigation of every project. We have developed shared working methodologies that result in consistently intelligent buildings that are well conceived and carefully detailed.

JULIE SNOW

Julie Snow has garnered national recognition as both a practitioner and academic. Since founding Julie Snow Architects in 1995 and continuing the design trajectory of the firm as Snow Kreilich Architects, Julie participates in every project in the studio.

Julie has taught architecture at the Graduate School of Design at Harvard, the University of Southern California, and the University of Minnesota College of Design, where she received the Ralph Rapson Award for Distinguished Teaching. Julie’s design leadership is also evidenced by her participation on juries and delivery of lectures in both academic and professional settings. She has lectured at the Walker Art Center, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and the National Building Museum, as well as making keynote addresses at several AIA conferences across the country.

Julie has been recognized with numerous awards including AIA Honor Awards, the Holcim North American Bronze Award, Progressive Architecture Design Award, the Chicago Athenaeum’s American, Architect Magazine Annual Design Review, and several US General Services Administration’s Design Excellence Awards. She recently received one of two Architecture Awards from the American Academy of Arts and Letters

“I first met Julie and her team while working together on the Humboldt Lofts and Park Avenue Lofts projects in the early 2000’s. As a young woman early in my career at that time, I loved watching her take command of those projects with such confidence and authority. She had an unwavering vision for those two projects, and I learned so much about leadership watching her in action. Her reputation for modern design nation wide, and her empowerment of other young rising architects will be her legacy. What a privilege to know her. “
