What began in 1854 as a territorial fair to highlight agriculture and encourage farming in the region became the Minnesota State Fair in 1859, a year after Minnesota was granted statehood. This end-of-summer tradition is held the 12 days leading up to and through Labor Day. The 2022 Minnesota State Fair runs Aug. 25-Labor Day, Sept. 5.

The State Fair’s mission is to educate and involve guests by providing a world-class showcase that is innovative, entertaining and fun. Showcasing Minnesota’s finest agriculture, art and industry. They create unique experiences that offer exceptional value. Providing a safe, clean environment that is accessible to all.

  • Do you enjoy a refreshing beverage while you tour the grounds? The Minnesota State Fair announced 65 brand-new brews and beverages premiering or found exclusively at the 2023 fair. In addition, there will be 39 returning beverages found only at the Great Minnesota Get-Together. In all, fair features 300+ brews and beverages.

  • At the end of the day when all of your tickets have been spent, your belly is full and you are fully hydrated you can choose to sit back, enjoy a show and perhaps dance into the evening with the State Fair’s concerts on the Grandstand Stage.
