MSPIFF 44: Ang Lee in Conversation
The 44th annual Minneapolis St. Paul International Film Festival, aka MSPIFF44, presented each year by the MSP Film Society and running April 2-13 2025, is pleased to announce multi-award winning Film Director Ang Lee as its 2025 Milgrom Honoree.
Ang Lee, who was recently recognized with a DGA Lifetime Achievement Award, and whose films have received numerous Academy Awards, will be in Minneapolis, in conversation about his work, on Sunday April 6, from 4pm to 5:30pm, at the DeLaSalle High School. Find Tickets Here.
As part of this Tribute to Ang Lee, MSPIFF44 will screen two of his award-winning films at its hub, The Main Cinema, on Historic Main Street. Each has a milestone anniversary this year: BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN, produced by Bill Pohlad’s River Road Entertainment, celebrates its 20th year; CROUCHING TIGER, HIDDEN DRAGON, celebrates its 25th year.
“Ang Lee’s remarkable work”, in the words of MSP Film Society ED Susan Smoluchowski, “spans many genres and topics, but what his films all have in common is a powerful humanity and profound exploration of the human experience.”
