Stone Arch Lofts was constructed in 2000, as one of the final projects by influential Minneapolis architect Paul Madson. The building was designed to fit into the neighborhood without drawing undue attention to itself, but with playful details best exemplified by its cheeky burgundy iron balconies. Stone Arch Lofts was one of the premier projects in the revitalization of the Mill District in the early 2000s. The Stone Arch Lofts project was awarded the Minneapolis Heritage Preservation Award in 2003 for “celebrat[ing] and enhanc[ing] Minneapolis’s historic character”. Stone Arch Lofts blends contemporary design with the historically significant backdrop of the Mill District.

Stone Arch Lofts is steps away from major cultural institutions, like the Guthrie Theater and the Loft Literary Center. Stone Arch Lofts offers unparalleled access to the Minneapolis Parks district, whether the preference is running by the Mississippi River through Mill Ruins Park, riding bikes across the historic Stone Arch Bridge, or lounging in Gold Medal Park on a beautiful summer day.

The location of Stone Arch Lofts is a diner’s paradise with nationally renowned restaurants like Restaurant Alma, Spoon and Stable, and Sea Change a short walk away. That’s not even mentioning the treasured Mill City Farmers Market just down the block from May to October.

The homes in Stone Arch Lofts are airy and contemporary, with high ceilings and large windows. Floor plans include options for single level or two-story properties and include private patios. The building boasts ample outdoor space, including a stunning rooftop terrace that features an outdoor kitchen. For those who prefer to entertain indoors there’s also a community room available for residents. The building has an intimate, boutique feel with 36 homes and a live-in caretaker. This cozy community atmosphere marries beautifully with an unbeatable location and luxurious amenities.

Nestled along the river, the Mill District is one of the most historic neighborhoods in Minneapolis. In the 19th century the Mill District supported the booming milling industry in its peak, including the then largest flour mill in the world. It is now a bustling neighborhood of mixed historic and contemporary homes, abundant parks, and locally owned businesses.

Close to restaurants, parks, event venues, freeways, and the river - this neighborhood is perfect for those who like to have everything Minneapolis has to offer at their fingertips.
